Ruben Contreras
From starting over in a new country to building a successful contracting business, Ruben's journey is rooted in perseverance and entrepreneurship.
Ruben's entrepreneurial journey began when he moved from Mexico to Wisconsin as a young man, determined to build a better future. Starting in the restaurant industry while learning English, he eventually discovered his passion for painting through weekend projects for local contractors.
Together with his wife, June, Ruben founded Action Painting with little more than a ladder, a car, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Over more than 18 years, they built a successful contracting business, eventually expanding into epoxy and polyurea concrete coatings.
Drawing on that hands-on experience, Ruben founded Action Industrial Coatings to provide contractors with professional coating products, practical installation training, and dependable support. Today, he leads AIC's training programs and helps contractors develop their skills and grow their businesses, offering guidance in both English and Spanish.
